I’m running Meta Ads but getting clicks and no leads. What should I fix?

I’ve been running Meta Ads for a while now and getting a decent number of clicks, but hardly any leads or conversions. It feels like people are interested enough to click, but something is not working after that.

I’m not sure if the issue is with my targeting, ad creatives, landing page, or overall strategy.

Has anyone faced a similar issue? What changes helped you turn clicks into actual leads?

I went through the exact same thing and it was frustrating because the clicks were there but nothing was converting. Here is what actually made the difference for me.

The first thing I checked was my landing page. People were clicking but the page was not giving them a strong enough reason to take action. I made it cleaner, focused on one clear message, and kept a single call to action. That alone improved things noticeably.

I also tightened my audience targeting. I was casting too wide a net and attracting people who were just browsing. Narrowing it down brought fewer clicks but much better quality ones.

Another big thing was matching the ad creative to the landing page. If your ad promises one thing and the page feels different, people leave instantly. I made sure the message and tone felt like a seamless continuation from the ad to the page.

I also switched to using Meta lead forms directly instead of sending people to an external page. The drop off reduced a lot because people did not have to leave the platform at all.

Fix these one at a time, track what changes, and the leads will follow.
